Another interesting model taking things a step further is the Agera R. Everything that made the first model great has been packed into this one. With a seven-speed dual-clutch, the Agera R means business on the track.

20: Aston Martin One-77 – Starting Price: $1.87 Million

What happens when you have an automaker that wants to touch on everything? Well, you get the Aston Martin One 77. This is one of the rarest cars in the world, and not just from a performance aspect. There were only 77 of them built and they’re getting harder to come by. The V12 engine packs 7.3-liters and 750 horsepower.

19: Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 – Starting Price: $1.9 Million

Lamborgini has been designing supercars for a while now. The LP 770-4 takes the cake when it comes to a high-end design that can handle business. Performance-wise, the LP-770-4 has one of the most powerful engines in a Lamborghini model.

Coupled with the high-end interior and exterior, you can tell that this car costs a pretty penny. The Centenario is on a long list of Lamborghini models that have pushed the envelope of design. Few exotic cars can compare to the sheer horsepower and speed that the LP 770-4 can deliver.

18: Koenigsegg Regera – Starting Price: $2 Million

It should be of no surprise that we find the Koenigsegg Regera on the list. There is just something about this automaker that makes the exotic car market special. With a limited production run of just 80 vehicles, the Regera is deadly fast. Pushing out 1,489 horsepower and 1,475 lb-ft of torque to the wheels.

17: Ferrari 599XX – Starting Price: $2 Million

Another Ferrari, how’d we know this was going to happen. Ferrari is a champion for high-performance supercars and the 599XX is a prime example. Take the cultivated exterior lines and styling for example, and then couple that with the 6.0-liter V12 engine that produces 720 horsepower.

16: Koenigsegg CCXR – Starting Price: $2.17 Million

Forbes awarded this car the 10 Most Beautiful Cars in history award in 2009. It’s with good reason because the CCXR still looks amazingly beautiful to this day. Released at a time when the world economy was on the way down, this car didn’t get a lot of attention. The performance is some of the best of any car in this price range.

Finding one of these is a rarity and you can expect to spend a pretty penny on it. However, the performance is well worth the price as the driving experience of the CCXR is unmatched.

15: Lamborghini Sesto Elemento – Starting Price: $2.2 Million

Automakers have been experimenting with carbon fiber forever, but Lamborghini took it a step further with the Sesto Elemento. The weight of just 999 kilograms (2,202 lb) made the car as light as some compacts. But with scary performance thanks to a 570-horsepower V10 engine, this was fast.

14: Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse – Starting Price: $2.5 Million

Bugatti has pretty much become indented as a rich man’s favorite car. For its part, Bugatti has greatly innovated the supercar business. What we have here is one of their original heavy hitters. The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is both fast and increasingly rare to find on the open market.

It should be noted that the Bugatti Veyron is one of the fastest street-legal cars in the world. The top speed of 267.856 mph (408.84 km/h) is almost unheard of for a car that you can just buy off of the lot.

13: Ferrari F60 America – Starting Price: $2.5 Million

Limited to a production of 10 units, the F60 America is one of the rarest Ferrari models to come out in the last decade. There is a lot to like about the car including the fairly conservative styling which included a special edition paint job. The 6.3-liter, V12 with 730 horsepower is among one of the best engines that Ferrari has ever made.

12: Mercedes-AMG One – Starting Price: $2.72 Million

The folks at Mercedes-Benz have experimented with a supercar design now and again. The Mercedes-AMG One is perhaps the most iconic variation. A hybrid electric model this sports car just goes to show what new technology can do. The 1,021 horsepower produced by a 1.6-liter engine is more than enough speed.

From a design standpoint, the AMG One stands out from the crowd. Featuring cultivated lines and an overall style that is reminiscent of Mercedes-Benz supercars of the past.

11: Koenigsegg One-1 – Starting Price: $2.8 Million

The folks at Koenigsegg live, breathe, and eat competitive sporting machines. Here we have the Koenigsegg One-1, which is an off-shoot of the other supercars that the company has produced. From a styling standpoint, this car is just downright beautiful to look at.

Its 5-liter twin-turbo V8 produces 1360 horsepower. When it comes to tearing up the pavement the Koenigsegg One-1 does a great job of doing it with authority.

10: Bugatti Chiron – Starting Price: $2.9 Million

If you are in tune with the automotive world, you’ll remember the vast amount of hoopla that followed the Chiron. Although the car isn’t as popular as it once was, the Chiron still blisters a trail when it comes to performance. The styling is that iconic Bugatti styling that has been developed since the Veyron.

The 16-cylinder engine can propel the Chiron to speeds over 300MPH. So, if you need to get to the grocery store in a hurry, this could be the car to do it. Bugatti will continue to innovate and these cars will get better and better.

Aston Martin hasn’t been in the supercar arena much in the past couple of years. But the Valkyrie was developed in partnership with Red Bull Racing. The car is not only beautiful to look at, but is also very fast. Very few cars can handle the type of performance that the Aston Martin Valkyrie does.

Not only is the AMR Pro Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio a rare car, but it also costs a pretty penny. This hypercar was developed as a tribute to Sergio Pininfarina. He was the former chairman of Ferrari and was instrumental in many well-known designs. There were only six units of this car put into production.

Finally, we have the car that was responsible for birthing the Dodge Viper. The Concept VM-02 was unveiled in 1989. There was a large amount of hype and anticipation behind the fact that Chrysler was going to unveil a supercar. There was a lot to like about the VM-02 which made it a notable choice for automotive enthusiasts.

If you haven’t seen this Lamborghini driving around the streets of Hollywood it’s because production was limited. The Veneno Roadster was designed to celebrate the companies the fiftieth anniversary. With a formula, one feels and a beautiful exterior the Veneno Roadster is unlike anything else on the road right now.

5: Maybach Exelero – Starting Price: $8 Million

Developed in partnership with Bugatti, the Maybach Exelero is one of the rarest hypercars in the world. The Maybach Exelero had a unique style to it that looks unlike anything else on the market right now. With a top speed of 236 mph, the Exelero is perhaps the fastest car to bear a Maybach badge. Likewise, there were only 40 examples put into production.

4: Bugatti Centodieci – Starting Price: $9 Million

The Bugatti brand is synonymous with the hypercar community. Thus, the Centodieci is a prime example of a beautiful hypercar. The 8,000cc quad-turbocharged W16 engine produces 1,578 horsepower. The car was designed to pay homage to the Bugatti maker’s 110th birthday.

Production of the Centodieci was limited to 10 units, which is what makes the car such a unique proposition and such an expensive choice.

Rolls-Royce isn’t a brand that comes to mind when it comes to supercars. But the Sweptail was a handcrafted piece of magic. The entire body of the car was handcrafted together to create a coupe that has a 1930s feeling to it. On top of the classic styling, the performance of the Sweptail is also notable.
