50: Sea Foam Green Chevy Monte Carlo
The third generation of the Chevrolet Monte Carlo was slightly different than the previous two models. With the fuel embargo that was going on at the time, the car had to be more fuel-efficient than before. The car was still quite large, and as this Twitter user illustrated, there was a lot of room between the steering wheel and the driver’s seat. This was back during a time when cars were a lot larger than the vehicles we have today. The Monte Carlo will long be the pinnacle of GM during this decade, but it wasn’t always great for drivers (via Twitter).
