Car fads can be fleeting at best, and every generation has had lots of ‘upgrades’ drivers must have. However, not all of them end up actually helping drivers who bought them. 30: Spinner Rims
Remember these obscene-looking wheels that came into existence during the early 2000s? It seemed like every other SUV or truck on the road had a pair of spinner rims at one point or another. These high-priced rims were featured on TV shows and DUB Magazine covers time and time again.
Then sometime after 2008, it seemed that spinner rims all but disappeared. You might still see a pair from time to time but it’s few and far between. There was a period where spinner rims seemed to be on every Escalade or Yukon Denali you saw, yet that just isn’t the case anymore.
