Highway 17 is the main stretch that links Virginia to Florida, and there’s a lot to be seen on the ride. Between the beautiful Atlantic coastal region and all of its notable stops, you’ll surely have a good time. There are often good amounts of traffic built up on this stretch of highway and things can get dangerous during a storm.

But if you’re on a cross-country trip and want to experience the best the area has to offer, Highway 17 is a must-drive. South Carolina is a mixture of beautiful experiences and a plethora of natural history. Highway 17 should be at the top of any potential travel list you might have for visiting South Carolina.
