Jay Leno is one of the most prolific car collectors in the world and makes no bones about it. His car collection spans over 30 years and he’s still constantly adding new models to his portfolio. He doesn’t just stick to one type of vehicle either. There are over 100 motorcycles in his collection that range from all types of makes and models. His thirst for new and interesting automobiles and motorcycles is one of the reasons that people flock by the thousands to see his collection.
Leno operates a fully functioning garage with a staff he employs. Taking a look at some of the most expensive cars in Leno’s collection will give you an idea of his specific appetite for certain vehicles. He enjoys driving older vehicles, and perhaps most unique is that he doesn’t own a single Ferrari model. Some of his vehicles, such as the GM EcoJet, were custom-built exclusively for him. We looked at 30 expensive cars in Leno’s collection that you might not realize he owned.
30: 2006 GM EcoJet
Jay Leno has long had a relationship with General Motors, going back to the 1990s as a brand ambassador for the Pontiac brand. He was given a few notable pace cars from GM, including his 2002 Firebird model. The EcoJet was a unique project car built in collaboration between Leno and the Cadillac brand (via Motor Authority).
He said he was always interested in jet-powered vehicles since a young age, and even owns the original Chrysler Turbine car. The EcoJet is a beautiful car designed uniquely to the Cadillac design philosophy. This was more than just a concept car, and the only production model ever made was given to Leno.
