19: Jeffree Star

Perhaps there is no more controversial an online influencer than Jeffree Star. Star has spent the last couple months flossing a brand-new pink Rolls Royce, but all that flossing came to an end in April 2021. Star and a friend crashed in Wyoming after experiencing slushy road conditions.

While it doesn’t appear that drugs or alcohol were involved, it just goes to show a powerful sports car should not be taken for granted. The Rolls Royce is a line of vehicles with a lot of performance at the driver’s disposal. Star very well could have underestimated the power of the vehicle and what it could do.

18: Chris Brown

R&B Singer Chris Brown has had his fair share of run-ins with the law, but he’s also had some unfortunate instances when it comes to his vehicles. His limited-edition, white-and-yellow-striped Porsche was involved in a parked-car domino effect. Brown wasn’t phased by it, apparently telling reporters he has 10 of them.

Brown had a similar accident that happened in 201 where his response was a lot more heated. It appears the musician has calmed down over the past couple years. That’s good because accidents do tend to happen to even the most affluent people in the world. Brown doesn’t need another arrest. on his record.

17: Bonnie Somerville

At the height of her career, Bonnie Somerville was cast as an investigator on the hit TV show NYPD Blue. Lately, the actress’s career has fallen to the wayside. This could explain her recent run-in with the law in Los Angeles. Arrested on May 18, 2021, the TV star was cited and released for DUI and set for a future court date.

According to TMZ, she attempted to tell the reporting officers she had ran out of gas. A strong odor of booze was detected. A sad turn of events for someone who was at the pinnacle of a television career for the latter part of a decade.

16: Tiger Woods

The legendary golfer is no stranger to controversy when it comes to vehicular accidents. His most recent crash on February 23 was downright horrific. Driving down a scenic stretch of highway in Southern California, Tiger veered off the road and crashed a Hyundai Genesis SUV. Authorities said Woods is lucky to be alive after a crash with such velocity. It also goes to show how safe the Genesis is.

Car accidents happen to thousands of people and speed is almost always the most common factor. As vehicles get more advanced and the horsepower ratings continue to increase these types of accidents will be more frequent, unfortunately. As for Woods, he sustained serious injuries and is currently recovering.

15: Justin Bieber

The problem with Justin Bieber is that he started with a squeaky-clean image, and that doesn’t translate to a bad reputation. But he began to cultivate one. On top of getting a DUI, Bieber also hit a paparazzi member with his car. It would appear that the last couple of years have calmed Bieber down a bit. Still, his reputation precedes itself.

Bieber is one of the first musical stars created from YouTube fame. He started from the bottom. Fame can be a difficult thing to swallow which could be one reason why the young star has had such a frustrating rise. Nevertheless, Bieber is no stranger to getting in trouble behind the wheel of a car.

14: Michael Phelps

When you represent an entire country in the Olympics the amount of stress can be astonishingly high. This may be why Phelps is no stranger to being in trouble with the law, whether it be for marijuana or his DUI. He was charged with driving under the influence and underage drinking because he was 19 at the time.

Phelps learned his lesson from this arrest. He has tried to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible. In recent years, Phelps has been a major advocate for mental health awareness, even sponsoring a mental health app.

13: Amanda Bynes

Nickelodeon was once a major part of our lives in the 1990s. Bynes was one of the many child stars to come out of that success. The problem with success is that it always has negatives and Bynes suffered a string of serious setbacks. The star got arrested for hit and run as well as driving under the influence.

Then Bynes went as far as sending a tweet to President Obama to have the officer that arrested her fired. Needless to say, this was at the start of her fall from grace, which has since caused her to disappear from the limelight. Bynes will forever be one of the most recognizable faces of the Nickelodeon era.

Although Paris Hilton has calmed down quite a bit from her younger days, there was a time when she partied hard. Hilton has been arrested for DUI, driving on a suspended license, and even spent time in jail. Hilton is a multimillionaire but that doesn’t mean she could avoid trouble behind the wheel.

When Hilton wasn’t partying she’d be indulging in very expensive spending, which included blinging out her Bentley with diamonds. It’s often the most flamboyant ones who get in trouble, and Hilton is a prime example of that with her storied arrest record.

With an estimated net worth of $45 Million, Ronaldo is one of the wealthiest footballers in the world. But crashing his expensive Ferrari 599 GTB just two days after buying the car was not a good look. Playing soccer requires a lot of focus, but so does driving one of the most powerful cars in the world.

It didn’t appear that alcohol was an issue in his crash, just a lack of skill when it came to piloting his new Ferrari. Just goes to show that even if you’re a millionaire, you should take driving lessons when it comes to an exotic car. Such a high amount of power behind the wheel can be something that is both exhilarating and dangerous at the same time.

10: Kelsey Grammer

Famous for portraying Dr. Fraser Crane on the hit sitcom ‘Fraser,’ Grammer enjoys the finer things in life. At the height of his success in 1996, he had a bit of a run-in with the law while driving a red Dodge Viper. Grammar was the owner of said Dodge Viper, which, at the time, was one of the fastest cars in the world. He flipped the Viper and was intoxicated which lead to a short rehab.

Since then, Grammer has been an outspoken advocate for getting help for addiction before it becomes too late. His Viper was one of the worst crashes involving a celebrity driver at the time. To this day he still tells the story from time to time and how he managed to turn his problem around for the better.

9: Eddie Griffin

Few comedians have experienced the rags to riches story that Griffin did, which makes him such a relatable celebrity. Sadly, this didn’t do him any good when he smashed one of the rarest Ferraris in the world into a wall. He was promoting his movie “Redline” with a Ferrari Enzo, which is quite rare and fast. He said that a cone got stuck underneath the wheel and caused the Enzo to veer into a wall.

The most surprising thing about this crash is that the Enzo was rebuilt and sold at auction as a completely restored vehicle. Needless to say, Ferrari enthusiasts are a specific bunch and Griffin learned his lesson after the crash. The comedian admitted he was a bad driver and didn’t have the skill to pilot such a powerful car.

8: Nick Bollea

The son of superstar pro-wrestler Hulk Hogan, Nick Bollea has always had a love for cars. He goes by the name Nick Hogan and started professional drifting at the age of 16. He also starred in the hit reality TV show, “Hogan Knows Best.” We got to see what the Hogans lived like and their car collection was exceptional. But it wasn’t all success.

Bollea’s worst crash happened when he wrecked his yellow Toyota Supra and permanently injured his passenger. Although there were lengthy court proceedings and jail time for Bollea, he’s tried to move on in recent years. He’s now a DJ and has recently started a YouTube channel devoted to his car collection, which includes another Supra. It will be interesting to see what Bollea does as he gets older and wiser.

The creator of ‘Star Wars’ is seldom seen in the limelight, but he does participate in celebrity racing events from time to time. He was involved in a crash at one. It was quite a spectacular one, but luckily the movie director managed to get out of the car with a few scratches on him. Lucas has since participated in quite a few other celebrity racing events with no injuries.

Lucas might be one of the best movie creators that we’ve ever seen, but as a racecar driver, his skill isn’t there. Not everyone is cut out to drive on a track and Lucas is an example of that. He should stick to creating excellent movie franchises like Star Wars because he is great at it.

6: Lil Twist

Being best friends with Justin Bieber has a lot of advantages. Part of that is driving his cars. Lil Twist has done that time and time again and ended up costing the star quite a bit in legal fees. First, he got a DUI in one of Bieber’s expensive luxury cars, and then he wrecked another one not too long after.

This just goes to show that even best friends can be a liability at some point. Bieber seems to frequent this kind of behavior. We can only wonder what crazy thing Lil Twist will do next. His music career hasn’t gone the way he wanted, so hanging out with another music star is the next best thing.

It has been an up and down rollercoaster for Spears, and it often involved a vehicle of some kind. Her most famous mishap came at the expense of a paparazzi member, where she went crazy and bashed his windows in with an umbrella.

She was taken to civil court and nowadays she has a conservatorship to stop her from doing this kind of behavior. When you get fed up anything can happen. And it did that night when Spears was driven over the edge after years of being followed around by the Paparazzi.

4: Nicole Richie

Although Richie is the daughter of famed singer Lionel Richie, her actual claim to fame was being on a reality TV show with Paris Hilton. When that happened Richie became someone everyone knew. She was arrested for driving up the wrong side of a California freeway while under the influence.

Not a good look and Richie was eventually sent to rehab for her issues. These days, Richie is doing a lot better and has semi-exited the spotlight. But a decade ago she was on the same destructive path as other stars from her generation.

3: George Michael

Michael was an iconic singer and music producer who changed the way we looked at pop music. Unfortunately, before his untimely demise, he was also quite a bad driver, getting into trouble more than once. Michael got arrested for driving under the influence as well as crashing a Ferrari.

Like most celebrities from this era, Michael was suffering from substance abuse problems. He had an addiction that was very hard to control and it ended up taking his life at a young age. Still, we are focusing on the fact that Michael wasn’t the best driver, as is the case with most celebrities who buy expensive sports cars.

2: Maya Rudolph

Rudolph made a name for herself on Saturday Night Live, and there’s no denying how funny she is. But this also doesn’t translate to having driving skills, where she is lacking. The small crash that damaged the mirror on a BMW was caught by TMZ cameras.

People make mistakes, but hitting a bunch of garbage cans and breaking your mirror is not just a simple accident. Perhaps she was on the phone or just not paying attention. Other than that the SNL star hasn’t been arrested for any drug-relating offenses.

1: Halle Berry

You might not believe it, but Berry has had her fair share of run-ins with the law. She once hit a driver and left the scene of the accident. Berry got community service and a $13,500 fine. The other driver wasn’t harmed either thankfully.

Berry is a cautious person, so it’s surprising that she’d get in trouble like this. Nevertheless, you don’t know what someone is going through no matter how affluent they are. Berry learned a lesson and she hired a personal driver by now.
