22. Dodge Challenger R/T
Dodge presented the Challenger in 1970 and it got a full arsenal from Mopar. That meant you can spec it in the R/T package with either the 440 or the 426 Hemi engine. But for 1971, Dodge tuned down its wild pony car a bit, giving it a slight restyling while killing the convertible option on the R/T model.
However, the 440 and Hemi remained as top engine options, making the Challenger as fast as the year before. But the end was in sight since they would drop the Hemi for the 1972 model year. Sadly, its power would gradually go down in the next few years.
