24. BMW 3-Series E21 Baur
For decades, BMW had a long and fruitful relationship with German design company Baur, which produced limited-edition, unique models for BMW. BMW supplied bodies for Baur conversions, convertibles, or Targa-style open tops based on regular models (via Petrolicious).

Back in the ’70s, safety regulations almost outlawed convertibles, so manufacturers made Targa-style versions and other strange creations. One of the such was E21 3-Series Baur TC2 models, produced from 1978 until 1982 in just over 4500 examples. Only 25 of those cars were sold in America, and the look was never well-received by customers.
