Carroll Shelby was instrumental in the design of the car and every aspect of what made it perform as it did. The Shelby GT 500 is also among the most expensive and most highly sought-after Mustang models on the road. There weren’t a lot of them made at all and the few that are on the market have been restored. The Shelby GT 500 is one of the few Mustang models that continues to increase in value every year.
