20: Chrysler Sebring
The Sebring was long the sweetheart of rental car fleets across the country thanks to its cheap price tag and a seemingly stylish exterior. Sadly, though, the Sebring didn’t have the best build quality, and many of these issues have come to light (via Hot Cars).

The Sebring had a notorious engine failure rate, involving the 2.7L V6. These engines are known to suffer premature engine sludge and worse. The cost of these repairs is astronomical, and thus the Sebring is one of the worst money pits out there.
