32: 1966 Oldsmobile Starfire
Another brand that was synonymous with the muscle car era was Oldsmobile. Unfortunately, many of the cars that came across during the 1960s were either poorly designed or poorly advertised. Executives at GM were focusing on the segment stalwarts and letting the rest of the lineup go to the wayside. The Starfire was a car that was targeted at a younger clientele with features that would still appeal to traditional buyers. Convertibles were gaining popularity and the Starfire had the looks department nailed down solid.

But what it takes to drive a car is reliabilitym and the Starfire was notoriously unreliable at a time when reliability was crucial. The Starfire was one of the last Oldsmobile models to feature the Rocket V-8 engine. Even with that bit of positive news, the Starfire was still a forgettable ride with a lot of drawbacks that sent drivers packing in droves.
