17: Isuzu Amigo
Often forgotten in the fray of Jeeps and Geo Trackers is the Isuzu Amigo, which was also an open-air SUV. Its short wheelbase and high ground clearance made the Amigo fairly capable of going off-road, similar to a Jeep Wrangler. The removable soft top and optional hardtop were easy to remove and the Amigo provided open-air fun.

The standard V6 engine is fairly powerful and easy to work on, not to mention the fact that parts for these are plentiful. The Amigo shared most if not all of its drivetrain with the Isuzu Rodeo. For cheap open-air thrills without the price tag of a Wrangler, the Amigo is an inexpensive option.
