Tim Allen is one of the most famous comedians in the world. He’s just as much of a car guy as Jay Leno. Because Tim Allen is from Michigan he likes a certain type of car, usually American muscle. Some of the vehicles in his collection include a one-of-a-kind Impala SS LT5 and a Ford RS2000. Tim Allen is constantly building on his extensive collection of classic cars. Next to the Kharmann Ghia in his collection is his Volvo P1800. Anybody who knows automotive history knows that the Volvo P1800 was a wonderful blend of performance and Swedish charm. This small convertible was designed to showcase early Volvo engineering and Allen owns a mint condition one.

Ford F100 Built By McLaren

Tim Allen came from humble beginnings and a rough background. As such he enjoys cars from his childhood as well. The Ford F100 was a truck that was around when Allen was a teenager. Naturally he went a step further and custom built one, tuned by the legendary automotive firm McLaren. This isn’t your daddies farm truck.

Chevrolet LT5 Impala

Tim Allen has owned his Chevrolet Impala LT5 since the 1990s, even featuring it on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. The Impala SS LT5 wasn’t your average Impala from this generation. It was a special order model provided to Allen by GM. The beautiful black Impala is almost mint condition.

Chevy 409 Bubble Top

Classic Chevys from the 1960s were the pinnacle of the muscle car and classic car era. Tim Allen builds anything that he loves, and the 409 Bubble Top was another passion project. The 409 cubic inch V8 was custom built for speed, and every inch of the car is restored. Allen enjoys driving the 409 Bubble Top to car shows.

Ferrari 330 GTC

Are you seeing a correlation here? Tim Allen loves compact European roadsters from the sixties. The Ferrari 330 GTC was a notable roadster that had a V12 engine. Allen has owned the car for several years. The sleek silver paint job gives the car a noteworthy appearance and the rarity is up there.

Pontiac GTO Ram Air 4

Peterson Auto Museum

The Pontiac GTO Ram Air was a dream car of Tim Allens when he was a child. The powerful V8 engine was at the top of the Pontiac lineup. There are a few GTO models that set the pace for the industry and this was one of them. Obviously, Allen added his personal touches to the car.

Ford Custom

Peterson Auto Museum

If the Ford Custom looks familiar it’s because Allen had featured the car on his sitcom in the 1990s. The black coupe is the pinnacle of early Ford engineering. But, this isn’t just some type of restoration project, it’s a custom hot rod. The Ford Custom is unlike anything else from the hot rod era.

Studebaker Sleeper Cab

One thing about Tim Allen is the fact that he can have any car that he wants in the world. The Studebaker Sleeper Cab is a completely restored Semi-Truck from the Bygone era. Everything on this truck is period-specific down to the unique paint job. This isn’t something that you drive every day, he built this for fun.

Ford RS200

Peterson Auto Museum

Where do we start with the RS200? This was the pinnacle of rally car racing in the eighties and early nineties. The unique design of the car was put together in such a way that it can be repaired on the fly. Tim Allen has featured this car on Jay Leno’s garage and this was also his daily driver for a while.

Ford Mustang GT350R

Tim Allen doesn’t own a lot of modern cars but there is one that he has in his collection. The Ford Mustang GT350R was designed to make an impact. The pure white paint job and the performance upgrades enhance the street racing capability of this car. Allen has long been a fan of Ford Racing products.

Peterson Auto Museum

Allen just like his friend Jay Leno got one of the few modern Ford GTs that were put into production. The Ford GT utilizes a supercharged V6 engine like that which is found in the Raptor pickup truck. Allen chose a sleek dark silver color for his Ford GT and this was a very limited production vehicle.

Ford GT350H

Now we double back to the classics and of course Allen has a classic GT350H as well. This Mustang was the pinnacle of Mustang performance when it was new. Not to mention it was unique and a very limited production vehicle. The sleek paint job is unique like the rest of Tim Allens car collection.

1950 Caddy

Peterson Auto Museum

There was a time when Cadillac was the epiphany of American luxury. The 1950 Cadillac was a unique blend of high-end luxury and groundbreaking features. A lot of the things that we take for granted nowadays were standard fare in the Caddy. Tim Allen has preserved most of the originality of the car as well.

Cadillac Fleetwood BDE

Peterson Auto Museum

The Cadillac Fleetwood BDE was a huge luxury car with a massive footprint. Gas efficiency went out of the window with this car. The Fleetwood BDE has a dark black paint job and it’s probably one of the least notable cars in the Tim Allens collection. Cadillacs from this era were extremely plush to drive.

Jaguar E-Type

Peterson Auto Museum

Here we have it again, another fun-to-drive roadster. Tim Allen loves these short and stubby roadster models. The Jaguar E-Type was legendary for its performance back when it hit the market. Jaguar used to be known for precision driving and beauty. Allen has a unique and original-looking E-Type model down to the paint.

Ford Falcon CJ

Peterson Auto Museum

Let’s be honest the Ford Falcon doesn’t get the credit that it deserves for the muscle car era. No Ford models seem to get credit for their role in the muscle car era. The Falcon CJ was a powerful and fun-to-drive hot rod and Tim Allen has kept his all original. The Falcon CJ was one of the few Fords that held its own.

Nova Custom

Peterson Auto Museum

The Chevy Nova was like the bulldog of cars, with its short stubby nose and big engine it handled business. Tim Allen has gone super street with his Nova, it has a flat black paint job and a whole lot of power packed under the hood. You can tell that Allen didn’t design this car to sit in the shop all day.

’46 Ford Custom

Peterson Auto Museum

Tim Allen has a thing for old Ford Coupes, and the ‘46 Ford Custom is another one that stands out from the crowd. The cherry red paint job on this one is a lot different then his usual blacked-out rides. This is a drop top and he has taken the thing to many different car shows including Hot August Nights.

’33 Ford Custom

Peterson Auto Museum

If you can’t tell by now Tim Allen has a thing for old hot rods. His ‘33 Ford Custom is another unique hot rod with a baby blue paint job. A wholesome V8 rests under the hood of this beast and the top has been chopped right off. This is one of Allen’s favorite rides and with good reason because it performs quite well.

Camaro Restomod

Finally, we get to one of the most fun to drive cars in Tim Allen’s collection. The Camaro Restomod is a modified Yenko Camaro and yes Allen drives it. This isn’t a Camaro that was built for sitting around in a collection, it was built for speed. Tim Allen is a car collector who loves to drive his cars as well.

Porsche 911 S SWB

Peterson Auto Museum

Tim Allen doesn’t own a lot of European or German cars like say Jerry Seinfeld does, but the few that he does own are unique. The 911 S SWB was a noteworthy car when it hit the scene. Allen has an all-original example of the 911 S SWB with a silver paint job and a lot of performance upgrades.
