19: Mercury Comet (1971-1977)
Another rarity in the classic muscle car market is the Mercury Comet, a car that is based on the Ford Falcon and commands a high price tag. Is the Comet worth this high price tag? No, and you’ll see why as soon as you get behind the wheel. The 302-cubic inch V8 was not a sleeper by any stretch of the imagination, and it had a lot of reliability issues.

There were some great aspects to the Comet but nothing truly standout or breakthrough. You can’t even find a Comet for less than $15K and that will only be in semi-decent condition. The Comet just isn’t worth that kind of money when there are other well-equipped classic muscle cars from the same era.
