35: De Lorean DMC-12 (1981)
After the success of the ‘Back To The Future’ franchise, the DMC-12 became a smash hit and a piece of pop culture. But few people realized that the DMC-12 was an actual production vehicle drivers could purchase. 8,582 original DMC-12 models were produced during the short lifespan of the vehicle. The story behind the De Lorean is probably a lot more intriguing than the car itself, as its driving characteristics weren’t that good.

There were a lot of shortcuts taken in the production of the DMC-12, and the result was incredibly shoddy build quality. All in all, these cars have become highly sought after in the current muscle car bubble with prices skyrocketing past their original value. Apparently, who wouldn’t want to drive the same car that Marty McFly was riding shotgun in?
