The Most Boring Generation of Them All
Ford presented the second generation of the Mustang in late 1973 as a 1974 model, selling it throughout 1978. However, it was the most boring generation of all since the cars were slow and paled in comparison to those older models. Also, the Mustang II didn’t have any street credibility and almost no race pedigree. But it sold well, and that was all Ford was looking for in the mid-70s.
