Based on the 458 Italia, the 488 marks the return to the turbocharged V8 engines last used in the ’80s. Modern technology and competition made naturally aspirated engines obsolete and Ferrari needed to go the route of turbocharging.
Needless to say, the Ferrari 488 is again one of the best cars in the class. Also, it’s a typical midlife crisis car because it is flashy, fast, and expensive.
